The Candidates for City Council endorsed by Local 26 had a successful day on April 5th.

Alderman Terry Brooks retains his seat in the first ward, Dennis Pauley won his race and

will replace John Bauersfeld in the third ward, and Alderman Chuck Austin was able to

 retain his seat in the seventh ward.  The members of Local 26 wish them well and look

forward to working with them the next four years!

Local 26 has received two awards for pac activities. The first is an award given to Local

 26 by the Associated Firefighters of Illinois for our contribution of $1.00 per man - per

 month over the requested amount. This award also was given for the work done by

Local 26 members on behalf of our State Elected Officials.

The second award was given to Local 26 by the IAFF for reaching 100% of our firepac

 goal, and the assistance given to our U.S. elected officials.

All members who are firepac participants and have assisted with our Candidates

 Campaigns should take great pride in these awards.  You are making a difference!
